Here's a couple of panels from the issue of 28 Days Later #10 i'm currently working on. Quite happy with these panels, they don't give away any story, so i should be okay just showing these. I hope.
Yeah,i roughed in the trees loosely in brush. Normally, i'd ink them with pen and add blacks but i was trying to indicate them with negative space rather than detail so i went straight in there with brush. I knocked in a little bit of line just to bump them up a touch.
Actually, that jacket/hoodie affair is something from my own closet.
Thanks Jay; I like doing some fashion research, but there's not a lot you can do with the desolate nature of the book. Clothing is more practical and well-worn in 28 Days Later. Still; Derrick is basically wearing my clothes, complete with the cap he lost in issue 4.
The simplicity really helps these panels. Nicely suggested trees too. Brush?

I actually an impressed with your sense of fashion, its nice to see artist pay attention to clothes etc :)
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't be so impressed with Dec's personal sense of fashion...
ReplyDeleteGreat panels Dec, nice and moody.
