VENOM #22 INTERVIEW, LAYOUTS

I was recently interviewed on Newsarama about starting on VENOM, the upcoming 'Minimum Carnage' crossover and I'm sure I moan about something or other. You can read it here.

Also, when on T-Bolts and Dark Avengers, writer Jeff Parker had a great response when he posted my layouts so I thought I might start doing the same here, with my Venom layouts. So, here are my layouts for the whole of issue 22 of Venom. Ask away in the comments if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

Hey man, they look amazing! My layouts are a bit more than stick figures...

Are they digital, or just scanned? And whats their actual size? I found out that for me, the smaller the better.

Keep up the good work, im on holiday back in italy right now but I already sent my girlfriend scouting for the book ;)))

I love seeing process stuff! Your layouts look fairly detailed in some spots. How large are you working when you do these? Great stuff as always, man!

Thanks guys,

Luca, these are scanned from my sketchbook. I draw out a template do my layouts in the template boxes. Yeah, I tried working a little bigger and it ended up being a mess. Enjoy your holiday!

Hey Mike! To answer your and Luca's question; my layouts are 50x75 mm. That way, when I blow them up in photoshop they will match the 10x15 inches of the artwork size.

For Conan, the dimensions are slightly different so I cut off the height of the layout by 5mm.
